The New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Inc. (NZIQS) represents the professional interests of 1000 New Zealand Quantity Surveyors. The Institute has members from both the contracting and consulting arms of the profession, and sees its special areas of interest as being:

• The establishment and monitoring of education standards for the profession in New Zealand;
• The promotion of continuing professional development for members;
• The promotion of the highest ethical standards for practitioners and the maintenance of professional discipline;
• The marketing of the profession of Quantity Surveying in New Zealand; and
• Acting as the focal point for the promotion of the interests of members of the profession.
