The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Association of Cost Engineers (ACostE) are holding a Project Controls Festival in London on 1 May 2013. The IET and ACostE would like to invite any members of the ICEC community and their guests who will be in London at that time to attend. There will be no charge for attendance. They will have three prestigious speakers from the Rail Industry (some of the largest projects in Europe currently are from the railways) and there will also be opportunities for networking with fellow professionals. Call for Papers – Cost Engineering Tracks
The International Project Management Association (IPMA) has teamed up with ICEC to provide two special tracks focused on “Cost Engineering and Project Management” and “Mega Projects and Complex Cost Management” at their annual congress this year. We would like to encourage all cost management experts in the ICEC community to consider submitting a paper and attending the conference. ICEC World Congresses & Council Meetings
ICEC holds a global Congress and Council Meeting every 2 years. ICEC also holds annual regional meetings in each of the 4 ICEC regions (Region 1 – North/South America, Region 2 – Europe/Near East, Region 3 – Africa & Region 4 – Asia Pacific). Further meetings are held as required. The first International Cost Engineering Council Congress (ICEC) was held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1971. Since 1972 there has been an ICEC Congress every second year. Our most recent Congress was held in Durban, South Africa in 2012. ICEC holds its Council Meeting every 2 years in conjunction with these World Congresses. The next ICEC Congress will be held 19-23 October 2014 in Milan, Italy. ICEC 2012 Council Meeting – 24 June 2012, Durban South Africa
The ICEC Council Meeting is held every 2 years in conjunction with the biennial ICEC World Congresses.
The 2012 ICEC Council Meeting was recently held on Sunday 24 June 2012 at the International Convention Centre in Durban, South Africa. A pre-Council meeting was also held the day before (Saturday 23 June 2012) for the ICEC Executive Officers and Regional Directors/Assistant Secretaries.
The ICEC Council meeting was held in conjunction with the ICEC 8th World Congress being held from 23-27 June 2012 at the same venue in Durban, South Africa.
Minutes of the meeting and the Meeting Agenda Book will be posted on the ICEC website shortly.

The Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors (PAQS) held their 16th Annual Congress from 7-10 July 2012 in Brunei Darussalam.
The ICEC Region 4 (Asia Pacific) Meeting was also held during this Congress.
